We’ve all heard of or used different smart devices like smartphones, smartwatches, smart locks, smart speakers, and even smart cars and smart refrigerators. One of the latest smart device obsessions on the Internet is the Revolution Cooking R180 High-Speed 2-Slice Stainless Steel Smart Toaster.

This toaster has a price tag of 300 USD and is touted as the world’s first high-speed smart toaster with a touchscreen display that allows you to select the food item you want to toast. Also, similar to conventional toasters, you can also choose the level of toast.

Unlike conventional toasters, this toaster uses proprietary “InstaGlo Technology”  that “heats up and toasts” your food “in a fraction of the time of conventional toasters.”

The toaster is also preprogrammed with “toasting algorithms” that “brown evenly and lock in the flavor of breads, waffles, and more.”

In June this year, American rapper Lil Yachty showed off the high-tech toaster in a video that he posted on TikTok. The post briefly captioned “LOOK AT MY TOASTER,” has since gotten almost four million likes and over 38 thousand comments.

In the video, Lil Yachty proudly described the fancy toaster to his followers.

“Just want to show you guys some excellence,” he said in the video. “My toaster actually is touch screen and lets you pick how you want your toast to come out. It has bagels, waffles, Pop Tarts—excuse my nails! I need to get them done. But I just wanted you guys to see the awesome toaster.”

Is the toaster matching up to the Internet hype thanks to Lil Yachty? So far, it’s been receiving mixed reviews from Amazon customers. While some love it and are intrigued by it, others say it’s just a typical toaster with an elaborate touch screen. “This toaster was well worth the investment,” one user expressed. “I have owned it for less than thirty minutes and it’s already being sent back,” another commented.”
